Extract this fresh ZIP into a new folder, then double-click BUILD-IRISDESK-WINDOWS.cmd. After it completes, BUILD-MICROSOFT-STORE.cmd creates the local test installer and Store submission package.

Connection guide

Connect in four clear steps.

Use the same flow on Mac and Windows after IrisDesk 0.3.1 is installed on both computers.

Open both apps

Keep IrisDesk open on both computers.

Choose the shared computer

Copy its 12-digit address. This computer waits for the incoming request.

Request from one side

On only the other computer, enter the copied address and click Request a session once.

Approve permissions

The shared computer reviews the incoming request and decides exactly what to allow.

Opening the Mac development build

If macOS says “IrisDesk.app Not Opened”

  1. Click Done. Do not move IrisDesk to the Trash.
  2. Open Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway beside IrisDesk.
  4. Authenticate when macOS asks, then click Open.

Privacy & Security

During a session

Choose what the other person can do.

  • View the remote screen
  • Use the mouse and keyboard
  • Exchange clipboard text
  • Send files during the session
  • Hear computer audio
  • Record the session with a visible notice
  • Use full-screen or actual-size viewing
  • Disconnect immediately from either computer

Permission is requested for each attended session. The person at the shared computer stays in control.

Security and compatibility

Use matching current versions.

Every attended connection must be approved on the computer being shared.

Troubleshooting

If the computers do not connect

  1. Confirm that both computers are running the corrected IrisDesk 0.3.1 downloads above.
  2. Keep IrisDesk open on both computers.
  3. Send the request from only one computer; leave the other computer waiting for the approval prompt.
  4. If IrisDesk says the request was limited, wait 20 seconds and click Request a session once.
  5. For same-network testing, connect both computers to the same private Wi-Fi or Ethernet network and use a local invitation.
